For at least some days of the week buy some of your groceries from local sources.
More About The Challenge
For the next week, make the extra effort to buy produce that was produced closer to home. Spend the time to read the labels and find out where your food is coming from.
If your supermarket doesn't have much of a local choice, heading to local farmers markets is an easy way to get fresh local produce.
The idea behind this one is that local produce will have travelled less to get to you. This helps cut CO2 emissions transporting goods.
We don't expect you to find everything locally but increasing demand for any amount local produce it a great step in the right direction.
