What are cookies
The Microvist website places small files (known as "cookies") onto your device (e.g. computer, mobile) to enable essential functionality for the Microvist service.
How we create cookies
There are two types of cookies, session and persistent cookies.
A session cookie is a cookie that is erased when you close your web browser. The session cookie is stored in temporary memory and is not retained after the browser is closed.
A persistent cookie is a cookie created with an expiry date and is retained on your device until the expiry date passes. Unlike a session cookie a persistent cookie is retained after the browser is closed.
All the cookies we use are classed as persistent cookies. This means they:
- Are stored on your device even after you leave the website and close your browser
- Remember the preferences or actions you’ve performed as you move from page to page on the website
When you use and access the service, we may place a number of cookies files in your web browser.
These cookies and their purposes are described below.
|AuthToken||After you have logged in we use this token to validate it’s still you when you move between pages or come back to the website.||1 hour|
Places we link to
We may link to other websites and services which can set additional cookies and have their own cookies policies.
Best policy ever
Well done for getting this far. We put a lot of work into this policy to try and make it as transparent, useful and engaging as possible and we would love to hear your feedback on how we can make it even better - please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Please don’t make this the last time you read it as we will post any changes on this page - significant changes will of course be notified to you by email.
